APPARTAMENTO TR-30
Renovation
A renovation project with a simple appearance that hides complex details. After the complete demolition of all internal partitions to maximize the space and maintain a spacious, bright open-plan layout, it was necessary to create new alignments. Diagonal geometries were introduced, which will be highlighted both in the flooring and by light cuts in the drywall. This approach allowed not only the creation of the open space but also a comfortable master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and walk-in closet, a second spacious bathroom, and distinct areas for the office and kitchen.
The old windows were replaced with minimal aluminum frames with clean lines, without moldings, glazing beads, or visible hinges. To maximize light, new counterframes were also installed to widen the window openings, making the glass visible from the exterior.
The bedroom area is accessed through a special full-height flush door, internally mirrored and externally made of glass. The skirting boards are also flush with the wall, contributing to the simple, linear aesthetic of the design. In fact, this detail requires complex wall preparation to allow for the subsequent insertion of the profiles.
In the bathrooms, resin was used for both the flooring and wall coverings, while large porcelain stoneware slabs cover the living room wall, creating the effect of a stone monolith. The detail of the joints between the slabs was carefully designed with a "jolly" 45° joint technique, executed on-site.
